Hunting, Fishing & Outdoor Recreation
Mason County offers some of West Virginia’s best opportunities for outdoor sportsmen. The area features several public wildlife management areas, stocked lakes, and miles of riverfront to explore.
McClintic Wildlife Management Area (TNT Area)
Over 3,600 acres of mixed terrain open for hunting deer, turkey, waterfowl, small game, and more. This area is also known for excellent fishing in its numerous ponds and marshes.
Chief Cornstalk Wildlife Management Area
Nearly 12,000 acres of forested hills and valleys offering hunting for deer, squirrel, rabbit, and turkey.
Bright McCausland Homestead WMA
A smaller area ideal for small game and bird hunting, as well as quiet exploration and nature viewing.
